Cybersecurity Analyst - Threat Intelligence

About the Role

Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join their team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating threat intelligence to proactively defend the organization against cyber threats. You will track emerging threats, actors, and attack vectors, providing actionable insights to inform security strategies and operations. This position is ideal for an individual with a keen interest in the evolving threat landscape and a passion for translating complex data into clear, concise intelligence.

• Collect and analyze threat data from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web, and commercial feeds.
• Develop threat models and profiles of malicious actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Produce regular threat intelligence reports and briefings for security operations and executive leadership.
• Support incident response activities by providing timely context and analysis of ongoing attacks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to share threat information and enhance collective defense.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in threat intelligence, security operations, or a related cybersecurity role.
• Proficiency in using threat intelligence platforms and OSINT tools .
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize large datasets.
