The Supply Chain Analyst will support the planning and execution of logistics strategies, ensuring efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to analyse data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements that drive operational excellence. This position offers exposure to advanced analytics tools, collaborative projects, and the chance to influence strategic decisions that shape the future of supply chain management in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, clean, and analyse supply chain data from ERP, WMS, and transportation management systems.
- Develop performance dashboards and KPI reports to monitor inventory levels, order fulfilment, and delivery accuracy.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and transportation teams to align demand forecasts with capacity planning.
- Support the implementation of new logistics technologies, such as AI‑driven demand forecasting and IoT tracking.
- Prepare detailed analytical reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical audiences.
- Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and transportation planning.
- Problem‑solving orientation and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent are highly regarded.
ExperienceApplicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing, retail, or third‑party logistics environment. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
SalaryThe annual salary range for this position is SSP 350,000 to 500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
