Supply Chain Analyst - FMCG Logistics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their thriving FMCG operations in Pretoria . This role is integral to optimizing the company's supply chain efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and managing inventory levels effectively. You will leverage data analysis to identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and support strategic decision-making across logistics, warehousing, and transportation functions within a hybrid work structure.

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement across logistics and inventory management.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain, tracking metrics related to lead times, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to streamline processes and resolve supply chain issues.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and best practices to enhance visibility, efficiency, and responsiveness of the FMCG network .
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply chain performance, providing insights and recommendations to management to drive informed decision-making in Pretoria .

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations within the FMCG sector .
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and experience with supply chain planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
