Senior Buyer - Indirect

Our client, What Jobs Direct , is looking for a highly skilled and strategic Senior Buyer to manage indirect spend categories for their operations based in Pretoria, Gauteng, ZA . This pivotal role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies for non-production goods and services, such as IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving cost savings, ensuring compliance, and building strong relationships with suppliers.

• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement initiatives to achieve financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
• Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and potential supply chain risks.
• Manage contracts, including preparation, execution, and ongoing administration.
• Support the implementation and utilization of procurement technology platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with a significant focus on indirect spend categories.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and category management.
• Strong understanding of indirect procurement processes and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and financial acumen.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders within the organization.
• Experience working in the Gauteng region is advantageous.
