Full job description

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

To make sure that empties return process is adhere to

To ensure a smooth and timely return of empty pallets to suppliers, meet and exceed customers’ requirements/targets.

MAIN TASK

1) Moving empties/pallets to the designated area

2) Sorting and stacking of empties/pallets according to their codes/sizes

3) Identify damaged empties/pallets and report to the supervisor/coordinator

4) Record pallets type and the quantities to be loaded

5) Loading empties inside a container, and ensure target is met per shift

6) Counting and verifying (stock take) of empties in the warehouse according to their codes at specific times

7) Ensure good housekeeping on the shopfloor

8) Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment

9) Inspect a forklift to determine a need for repairs

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

1) Matric Certification (Grade 12)

2) Proven experience as a forklift operator

3) Valid certification to operate a forklift

4) Excellent physical conditioning and coordination

5) Good time management
