Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance team in Pretoria. This critical role involves overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all machinery and facilities are in optimal working condition. You will be responsible for managing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting complex equipment failures, and leading a team of skilled technicians. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance strategy, a strong understanding of industrial systems, and the ability to foster a safe and productive work environment within the Installation & Maintenance sector.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Oversee the repair of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the maintenance department.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
