- Oversee the overall maintenance, appearance, cleanliness and functionality of the property
- Manage and support a maintenance team, including daily repairs and emergency call-outs
- Drive preventative maintenance and ensure issues are addressed promptly
- Conduct regular inspections, identify potential problems and ensure corrective action is taken
- Coordinate and manage contractors and service providers
- Oversee cleaning, security, landscaping and other outsourced services
- Ensure OHS, health, safety and risk requirements are maintained
- Keep accurate records of inspections, incidents, repairs and maintenance
- Manage maintenance-related stock, equipment, furniture and procurement
- Monitor operational and maintenance budgets and track purchase orders
- Work closely with the Residence Manager and wider operations team
- Provide leadership and operational support in the Residence Manager’s absence
- Maintain relevant facilities systems and reporting, including maintenance tracking and KPIs
- Matric certificate
- Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in facilities or maintenance management
- Strong technical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach
- Solid understanding of preventative maintenance and contractor management
- Good knowledge of OHS, compliance and risk management
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and facilities systems
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing people, suppliers and day-to-day operational demands
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Must be willing to live on site
