About the Role
Our client, a leading entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is actively recruiting for a highly capable Operations Manager to oversee and enhance their operational efficiency in Pretoria . This role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth and cost-effective execution of all manufacturing, production, and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in operations management within a high-volume production environment, a strong commitment to quality and safety standards, and the ability to lead teams towards achieving operational excellence and strategic business goals, contributing significantly to the company's reputation for reliable product delivery in the Gauteng province.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations, including production planning, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
- Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Manage a team of operational staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and sales departments to ensure seamless product flow and timely delivery.
- Monitor operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on the FMCG industry .
- Proven ability to manage complex manufacturing and production environments.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
