About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations based in Pretoria . This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of production lines by analyzing current processes and implementing targeted improvements. You will work closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and ensure adherence to quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer passionate about hands‑on process improvement and driving tangible results within a challenging industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to reduce cycle times, minimize defects, and lower manufacturing costs.
  • Design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all key production processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Train production staff on new processes and best practices to ensure successful adoption.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing operations.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence operational teams.
