The Enrolled Nurse role at Crossroads Recovery Centre is a full-time, on-site position located in Pretoria. The position is for Night Shift 7days on 7days off.
The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting therapeutic programs. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, reporting changes in patient conditions to the multidisciplinary team, and following clinical protocols and safety procedures. The role also involves educating patients and families on treatment plans, promoting adherence to recovery programs, and contributing to a respectful, stigma-free environment.
The Enrolled Nurse will collaborate closely with registered nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.
- Recognized Enrolled Nurse qualification and current registration with the relevant nursing council.
- Experience in mental health, addiction recovery, or rehabilitation settings is highly beneficial.
- Strong clinical skills in basic nursing care, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and follow established clinical protocols.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and respectful, non-judgmental care.
- Good organizational and documentation skills, including accurate record-keeping and report writing.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required in a 24/7 clinical environment.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health records and internal communication systems.
- All certification and registration documents must be up to date
