Senior Registered Nurse — Surgical & Anesthetic Care

Red Cat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced ICU REGISTERED NURSE for a large medical organization. Position based in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Grade 12.

ICU Diploma an added advantage.

Registered with SANC as Registered Nurse.

Valid drivers license.

Previous nursing work experience in a similar position is ESSENTIAL!

Person must be willing to work long hours / overtime when required.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing Cath Lab procedures.
• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterisation and interventional procedures.
• Assist cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team during procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition throughout procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patient records.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards.
• Ensure Cath Lab equipment and supplies are prepared and readily available.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and complications during procedures.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring and patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures and professional nursing standards.
• Current registration with SANC .
• Previous Cath Lab experience is essential .
• Experience in a private hospital environment will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of cardiac catheterisation and interventional procedures.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-acuity environment
