Location: Watloo, Pretoria
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years' Health & Safety experience.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
- Construction/scaffolding background.
Support the organisation's safety-first culture by ensuring health and safety documentation, inspections, training, incident records, and compliance requirements are kept up to date.
Working closely with the Head of Operations and H&S team, you will help identify risks, maintain compliance, and promote safe working practices across the workplace.

Minimum requirements:
- 3–5 years' relevant experience in a health & safety role.
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification, such as SAMTRAC or an OHS Diploma.
- Construction/Scaffolding background.
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Experience with Passport 360 and HSEC Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and administrative ability.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Compile, update, and maintain comprehensive health and safety files.
- Prepare and maintain Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and SOPs.
- Conduct regular site and floor inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Assist with logging, tracking, and investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Coordinate employee safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate employee safety training and certification records.
- Audit and maintain first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and PPE registers.
- Monitor safety compliance and ensure required corrective actions are followed up.
- Assist with ongoing OHSA and Construction Regulations compliance.
- Prepare safety presentations, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Head of Operations and H&S team.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture across the workplace.
