Quality Control Analyst

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join their manufacturing facility in Pretoria . This role is essential in ensuring that all pharmaceutical products manufactured meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before release to the market. You will perform a variety of analytical tests, interpret results, and contribute to the maintenance of a robust quality system. This position offers the chance to work in a critical role within the pharmaceutical supply chain, contributing to public health and safety.

• Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using validated methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
• Accurately record and report test results, investigate any out-of-specification (OOS) results, and assist in root cause analysis.
• Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety procedures.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and dissolution testing.
• Familiarity with GMP guidelines and pharmacopeial standards (e.g., USP, EP).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures meticulously.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, necessary for collaboration in the Pretoria facility.
