Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Agricultural Scientist to lead innovative research and development initiatives within their agricultural division in Pretoria . This critical role will involve designing and executing complex scientific experiments focused on improving crop yields, enhancing plant resilience, and developing sustainable farming techniques. You will mentor junior scientists, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic decision-making regarding agricultural advancements.

• Design, implement, and manage advanced agricultural research projects focusing on crop genetics, soil health, and sustainable practices.
• Analyze complex experimental data using statistical methods and advanced analytical tools to derive meaningful insights.
• Develop and test new agricultural technologies, methodologies, and plant varieties for improved performance and resilience.
• Prepare detailed scientific reports, research papers, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external scientific communities.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
• Collaborate with external research institutions, universities, and industry partners to stay at the forefront of agricultural science.

• Ph.D. in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in agricultural sciences.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, data analysis (statistical software proficiency is a must), and scientific writing.
• Proven track record of successful research project management and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong understanding of modern agricultural practices, including precision agriculture and biotechnology.
