Sales Representative – Informal Market

B-BBEE Position An established South African meat and protein supplier is looking for a driven, energetic and results-focused Sales Representative to grow its presence within the informal market in the Pretoria area
.
This is a hands-on, field-based sales position suited to someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships with customers and actively identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of meat and protein products to customers within the informal sector.
Previous meat industry knowledge is not essential, as product and industry training will be provided. Strong sales ability, confidence and the drive to build a customer base are key.

• Previous experience in a sales, field sales or business development position.
• Experience selling into the informal sector will be highly advantageous.
• Strong ability to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
• Confident approaching prospective customers and building relationships.
• Target-driven with a strong focus on achieving and growing sales.
• Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable travelling extensively throughout the Pretoria area.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
• A valid driver's licence is required.

• Promote and sell the company's range of meat and protein products within the Pretoria informal market.
• Actively identify and approach new potential customers.
• Develop and grow a strong customer base within the allocated sales territory.
• Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and travel throughout the Pretoria area to generate and maintain business.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products.
• Work towards agreed sales targets and actively contribute to revenue growth.
• Follow up on leads, quotations and potential sales opportunities.
• Keep up to date with the company's products, pricing and promotions.
• Provide feedback on customer needs, competitor activity and opportunities within the market.
• Complete relevant sales administration accurately and timeously.
• Perform other sales-related and ad hoc duties as required.

The successful candidate will receive:

• R15 000 basic salary per month
