Area Sales Representative

Our client is looking for a motivated and driven Area Sales Representative to join their dynamic sales team, covering the Pretoria region within the FMCG industry. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and other key clients, driving sales volume, and ensuring excellent product placement and visibility. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, a passion for sales, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics in Gauteng .

You will be a key player in expanding our client's market share and achieving regional sales targets, acting as the face of the brand to our valued business partners.

• Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets for assigned accounts and territory.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, including retail store managers and wholesale buyers.
• Promote and sell a wide range of FMCG products , ensuring optimal shelf space and product visibility.
• Conduct regular market visits to assess competitor activities, gather market intelligence, and identify new business opportunities.
• Provide product knowledge training and support to customer staff to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of any customer queries.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Marketing or Business is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and build strong customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Pretoria area.
• Knowledge of the local retail and wholesale landscape in Gauteng .
