PTA BVJ-1 Ecologist

We are actively searching for an ecologist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in scientific analysis, technical proficiency, and adept report writing. If you possess a strong background in ecology and are eager to collaborate with clients, we invite you to apply and become a valuable member of our client’s company in vibrant Pretoria, Gauteng.

• Develop and present solutions, proposals, and implementation plans to clients across various services.
• Plan projects including scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Oversee project implementation using standard project management methodologies, including Gantt Charts, report writing, delegation of tasks, and managing budgets.
• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide feedback accordingly.
• Monitor and report on project progress and financial performance.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and addressing their needs.
• Identify potential opportunities for growth through client interactions.
• Conduct extended fieldwork as required.

• Postgraduate degree (BSc Hons / MSc preferred) in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant scientific, technical, and report writing work experience.
• Strong species identification skills, especially in fauna and flora; experience in wetlands / aquatic ecology advantageous.
• Relevant experience and exposure in the Highveld and adjacent bushveld area advantageous.
• SACNASP registration or eligibility for registration in the field of Ecological Science.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Possession of a valid passport.
