Personnel Security Vetting Analyst; Fieldworker - GSMD

Brief description

The main purpose of this position is to conduct the personnel security vetting function within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) to ensure that all employees and external service providers meet the established security standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Collate, analyse and interpret all information and documentation gathered during the initial vetting process in order to communicate pre-employment screenings or interim security clearances.
• Compile vetting reports and vetting investigative memoranda.
• Conduct fieldwork as part of the vetting process.
• Prepare files for ratification by the State Security Agency.
• Identify and proactively report personnel-related risks.
• Liaise and cooperate with security organs of state and other state departments in the execution of the vetting function of the SARB.
• Ensure compliance with the National Strategic Intelligence Act 39 of 1994.
• Promote the vetting process within the SARB.
• Comply with and implement the SARB’s Vetting Policy, related processes, procedures and standing instructions.
