Youth Mentor

Our client is looking for an inspiring and dedicated Youth Mentor to join their impactful organization in Pretoria . This hybrid role focuses on empowering young people by providing guidance, support, and positive role modeling. You will work with at-risk youth, helping them to navigate personal challenges, develop life skills, and pursue educational and career goals. The position requires a blend of in-person mentoring sessions and remote check-ins, fostering strong relationships built on trust and encouragement.

This role is integral to supporting the development and future success of young individuals within the Gauteng province.

• Provide one-on-one mentoring to youth, focusing on goal setting, personal development, and life skills.
• Organize and facilitate group activities and workshops for youth development.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating responsible behavior and ethical conduct.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community organizations to support youth progress.
• Conduct remote check-ins and maintain regular communication with mentees and their guardians.
• Track mentee progress and provide feedback to the program coordinator.

• Relevant qualification in Youth Development, Social Work, Education, or related field.
• Proven experience working with youth, preferably in a mentoring or coaching capacity.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and challenges facing young people.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model, balancing in-person and remote interactions.
