Software Test Manager

Our client, an award‑winning Med Tech company, is looking for a Manager:
Test Engineering to join their team.

• Team Management (25%):
  Recruitment, selection and orientation; training and development; assign accountabilities and plan; monitor and appraise job and project results; develop a climate for feedback; ensure conformity of products; provide technical leadership; develop the expertise within the team; package and support release deployment; assist with managing priorities and development schedules; drive review sessions; provide feedback to Line Manager; build team morale; ensure specification and timescales;
  
  drive documentation completion; ensure development and issue reporting within the Quality Management framework.
• Analysis and Planning (15%):
  Develop test designs, processes, cases, data, scenarios; prioritize test activities; participate in requirements reviews; develop and execute software testing plans; document plans and reports; maintain documentation.
• Project Planning and Capacity Management (10%):
  Estimate testing timelines; provide input into requirements; manage tasks; identify risks; track tasks on JIRA.
• Software Testing and Programming (10%):
  Ensure work is tested; prepare test environments; identify and resolve issues; execute repeatable tests; document results; manage test cycle; recommend improvements; ensure products conform to requirements.
• Reporting and Documentation (20%):
  Collect and document testing requirements; assist with product change logs; track tasks on JIRA; provide status reports; create documentation templates; keep documentation up to date; prepare manuals and other documentation.
• Team Work (10%):
  Lead peer‑reviews; communicate and collaborate with the team; contribute to team development; take ownership of projects and products; communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Quality Management and Compliance (10%):
  Ensure improvement and upkeep of existing applications; ensure compliance with QMS frameworks for CE certification; ensure products are accurately and efficiently developed; ensure testing completion; manage release schedule; ensure development within the Quality Management framework.

• 7+ years of working experience.
• 3+ years managing a team.
• Qualification or certification in software testing.
• Diploma/degree in a software‑related field.
• Experience in team culture, coaching and development.
• Project management experience.
• Hands‑on software testing across multiple platforms, hardware integration, web and mobile systems.
• Documentation experience in planning, coordinating and reporting test activities.
• Familiarity with cross‑functional teams and multi‑departmental projects.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Skills:
  
  automated test tools and platforms; SDLC and STLC; mobile platforms (Android and iOS) and responsive web testing; design, document and execute test cases; strong attention to detail; basic SQL; understanding of common software failures; JIRA; effective communication.
• Experience with automation of testing processes and creating test cases.
