You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:

• Design, build and enhance backend services across a mixed technology stack (C# and Go
  )
• Ensure systems are high-performing, scalable and resilient in a high-traffic environment
• Support the ongoing migration from legacy C# services to modern Go-based microservices

• Contribute to the evolution of our system architecture as we transition toward modern microservices patterns (e.g. DDD, Hexagonal Architecture)
• Identify opportunities to modernise, refactor and improve existing C# components
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system design, maintainability and reliability

You’re someone who brings:

• Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideas
• A collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross‑functional teams to hit shared goals
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality work
• Adaptability – you stay sharp, productive and positive in fast‑moving environments
• Strong programming skills in C# and/or Go (Golang), with openness to working across both
• Solid experience with SQL (MSSQL/Postgre
  
  SQL) and No
  
  SQL databases (e.g. Mongo
  
  DB)
• Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Experience working with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing integration (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions)
• Experience working on high-performance, high-availability systems and production troubleshooting

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

• Experience in the online gaming, sports betting, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with high-throughput, low-latency systems in real-time environments
• Exposure to system observability tools (e.g., logging, monitoring, tracing)
• Experience with performance, load or stress testing of backend systems
• Understanding of secure coding practices and working within compliance-driven environments
• Experience supporting or contributing to large-scale system migrations or modernisation initiatives (e.g., C# to Go)
