What you’ll doYou’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
Backend Development & System Performance- Design, build and enhance backend services across a mixed technology stack (C# and Go
) - Ensure systems are high-performing, scalable and resilient in a high-traffic environment
- Support the ongoing migration from legacy C# services to modern Go-based microservices
- Contribute to the evolution of our system architecture as we transition toward modern microservices patterns (e.g. DDD, Hexagonal Architecture)
- Identify opportunities to modernise, refactor and improve existing C# components
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system design, maintainability and reliability

What you’ll bringYou’re someone who brings:
- Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideas
- A collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross‑functional teams to hit shared goals
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality work
- Adaptability – you stay sharp, productive and positive in fast‑moving environments
- Strong programming skills in C# and/or Go (Golang), with openness to working across both
- Solid experience with SQL (MSSQL/Postgre
SQL) and No
SQL databases (e.g. Mongo
DB) - Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
- Experience working with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing integration (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions)
- Experience working on high-performance, high-availability systems and production troubleshooting
It would be great if you also have some the following skills:
- Experience in the online gaming, sports betting, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with high-throughput, low-latency systems in real-time environments
- Exposure to system observability tools (e.g., logging, monitoring, tracing)
- Experience with performance, load or stress testing of backend systems
- Understanding of secure coding practices and working within compliance-driven environments
- Experience supporting or contributing to large-scale system migrations or modernisation initiatives (e.g., C# to Go)
