Salary: Market Related We are seeking a skilled Web Developer (Inter/Snr level) to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of a modern web-based platform built primarily in Angular. The role spans developers with solid hands-on experience through to highly experienced professionals capable of leading complex solution delivery within a .NET and Microsoft Azure environment.

Responsibilities / Key Tasks

• Maintain and enhance existing functionality and develop new components to meet evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Refactor, optimise and improve codebases for performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Conduct testing, including unit and integration testing, to ensure functional correctness.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on defects and production issues.
• Participate in building, packaging and deployment processes across environments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards and practices; senior candidates may mentor junior developers.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or Matric with between 5-10 years of hands-on development experience within a custom software development environment, with multiple production releases per year.
• Solid proficiency in .NET C#, with proven expertise in developing enterprise grade web applications. (VB an advantage)
• A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience as a Web Developer in a multi-tiered .NET application environment, and at least 10 years of experience as a Front-End Developer.
• Solid experience with modern web technologies, including JavaScript/Type Script, Angular, ASP.NET, HTML5, and React.
• Understanding to advanced Knowledge of RESTful frameworks, with experience working with JSON and XML-based data exchange.
• Working knowledge of web application security principles (OWASP), including common vulnerabilities and best-practice prevention techniques.
• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work within cross functional teams and translate use cases or user stories into intuitive user interfaces.
• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, along with associated tools, processes, and best practices.

Experience with the Following Technologies

• Angular (Version 6 and above) with strong proficiency in building scalable, component based front end applications.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET and C# .NET, including a deep understanding of JavaScript, CSS, XML, Type Script and HTML.
• Practical experience working with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), preferably IIS 7 and later.
• Demonstrated integration experience using SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Solid understanding of XML and JSON message structures, including namespace management, schema utilisation, and structured data handling.
• Experience with SQL and relational database development, specifically Microsoft SQL Server (2008 and later) and Azure SQL.
• Proficient in API testing and validation using SoapUI and Postman.
• Candidates must have prior experience using source control/version control software, such as Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Git, Azure Dev Ops Repos, or other industry standard tools.

• Proven track record in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs, adhering to REST principles and ensuring endpoint scalability, security, and high performance.

• Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple Azure cloud implementations completed within the last three years.
