We are currently seeking a highly skilled Automotive Software Integration Specialist to join our R&D division in Pretoria. This role is critical to our mission of developing the next generation of connected vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that complex software modules, ranging from infotainment systems to advanced driver‑assistive systems (ADAS), function harmoniously within the vehicle’s electronic architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration and testing of complex software components within the vehicle’s Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve software‑hardware interface issues during the prototyping phase.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate software performance under various environmental conditions.
  • Analyze system logs and diagnostic data to identify and troubleshoot software bugs in real‑time embedded environments.
  • Ensure all software integrations comply with international automotive safety standards such as ISO
    26262.
Required Skills
  • Expertise in C/C++ programming and embedded software development life cycles.
  • Proficiency with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Strong understanding of Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and AUTOSAR architecture.
  • Advanced debugging skills using hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HiL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SiL) testing tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
Education

A Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. A Master’s degree specializing in Embedded Systems or Automotive Engineering is highly advantageous.
