Electronic Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified or early-career engineer who wants to gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, manufacturing support, and field implementation. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers on innovative embedded electronic systems, PCB designs, and firmware development projects within a highly technical environment.
The role offers excellent exposure to electronic hardware, embedded firmware, communication protocols, and real-world product development while providing ample opportunity for professional growth and technical development.

Education:

• BEng Electronic Engineering

Job Experience &

Skills Required:

• 0-2 years' experience in electronic design engineering.
• Exposure to PCB design and schematic capture.
• Embedded firmware development experience advantageous.
• Experience with Altium Designer advantageous.
• Programming experience in Embedded
  
  C.
• Knowledge of STM
  32 or similar microcontroller platforms.
• Understanding of communication protocols including:
  • UART
  • CAN
  • USB
  • SPI
  • RS485
• Exposure to C# application development advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Innovative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Duties:

• Interpret client requirements and assist in developing technical specifications.
• Design electronic hardware, embedded firmware, and supporting software solutions.
• Perform schematic and PCB design activities using industry-standard design tools.
• Develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
• Implement and integrate various communication protocols.
• Test, validate, and refine electronic designs.
• Maintain engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Generate manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning documentation.
• Support technical and field service teams when required.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders on technical matters where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
