FMCG, Contracts Manager
Purpose of the Position The Transport Manager is responsible for managing, planning and coordinating Transport operations, which includes loading, delivery and driver management.
The Key Functional responsibilities of the Transport Manager includes but is not limited to:
- Financial Responsibility:
To ensure that all cost incurred is maintained within budget. Present and report monthly financials. - Operational:
Delivery Schedule Management to ensure effective and efficient execution of all deliveries. Do route management for optimization and do tracking of vehicles and deliveries according to schedules. - Personal Skills and Competencies
Required:
Enjoys a challenging, high paced, high pressured and exciting environment. Must have Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English). Ability to take responsibility, Accountability, Great attention to details, Exceptional Time Management, Planning and organizing skills. - Computer Literacy
Required:
MS Office (PowerPoint, Projects, Word, Outlook), Advanced MS Excel Skills, Advanced System Skills capabilities with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Minimum Requirements:
5-7 years experience required in Transport, Grade 12 is compulsory with Relevant Tertiary Diploma, Degree or, Honors Degree in Logistics and Transportation Management or similar. Good Warehousing & Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management.
Union Experience as well as knowledge of the NBCRFLI required.
Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Advanced (WMS) Skills and GP skills. Detailed Job Description will be available on request.
