About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and organized Aircraft Dispatcher to join their operations team in Pretoria . This role is central to flight planning and operational control, ensuring that all flights are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring flight progress, analyzing weather conditions, calculating fuel requirements, and making critical decisions regarding flight operations.

• Plan and prepare flight routes, considering factors such as weather, air traffic, aircraft performance, and regulatory constraints.
• Calculate and manage fuel requirements, ensuring adequate reserves for each flight.
• Monitor flight progress in real-time, making adjustments to the flight plan as necessary due to changing conditions.
• Communicate effectively with flight crews, air traffic control, and operational support teams.
• Ensure adherence to all South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and file all necessary flight documentation and logs.

• Valid Aircraft Dispatcher license or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in flight planning and operational control.
• Strong understanding of meteorology, aerodynamics, and aircraft performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using flight planning software and communication systems.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
