Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Fleet Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team in Pretoria. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in optimizing fleet performance, ensuring compliance, and managing operational costs. You will leverage your expertise in fleet management systems and data analysis to drive efficiency and support strategic decision-making. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of vehicle maintenance, logistics, and regulatory requirements, contributing to the smooth functioning of our client's extensive fleet operations within the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the company fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency.
- Manage vehicle procurement, maintenance schedules, and repair processes to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, licensing, and insurance requirements.
- Analyze fleet data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational performance.
- Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support operational needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations.
- In-depth knowledge of fleet management software, GPS tracking, and telematics systems.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data interpretation and reporting.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.
