RN - Emergency Room

Overview

RN - Emergency Room -  at Castleview Hospital provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.

Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

• Provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Provide care that meets psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients and factors influencing patient flow through the system.
• Communicate with ED physicians regarding changes in patient s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

• Requires current Utah RN licensure.
• Emergency Room experience preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• Ability to obtain ACLS and PALS Certifications upon hire.
• Must be able to work in a high stress environment effectively as a team member.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
