We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our small office team. The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare invoices, record payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Prepare and file GST and PST returns
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and files
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements
• Support general administrative and accounting duties as required
• Identify discrepancies and use critical-thinking skills to resolve issues

• Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures
• Experience with payroll processing and GST/PST filings
• Understanding of bank reconciliations and financial statements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Sage accounting software and Microsoft Office applications is an asset
