Library Technician II

Position: Library Technician II Role Available
Enhance library services as a Library Technician II, performing cataloguing and support tasks. This part-time position ensures organized resource collections while collaborating with staff.

Reporting to the Principal, this role encompasses a variety of library duties, including cataloguing print and audio-visual materials in accordance with MARC standards. The Technician will work independently to maintain library operations, assist students and teachers with materials, and implement best practices with fellow staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily circulation duties and maintain organized shelves

• Catalog and classify print and audio-visual materials

• Assist with the acquisition of new resources

• Input and maintain library databases accurately

• Supervise volunteers and assist students in research

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and Library Technician diploma

• Familiarity with Insignia Software is an asset

• Valid driver’s license required

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
