Dental Billing and Revenue Cycle Administrator

The Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented Dental Billing and Revenue Cycle Administrator to support the clinic’s financial operations. This role manages dental insurance billing, patient account follow-up, payment postings, and related reporting to help keep the practice running smoothly.
Compensation for this position is $38–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Compensation will be reviewed annually, with any increases based on performance and awarded at the clinic’s discretion. Benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities  Insurance Claims Management   Prepare, submit, and electronically process both primary and secondary dental insurance claims.
Ensure claims are administratively complete and follow up on any rejections or missing information.
Track all claims submissions and reimbursements, maintaining accurate records.
Patient Accounts Receivable   Maintain precise patient account balances by reconciling treatment charges, insurance payments, and patient payments.
Communicate with patients regarding their account balances, rejected claims, and payment arrangements using approved clinic communication methods.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and maintain a documented follow-up schedule for unpaid claims.
Payment Processing   Accurately post insurance and patient payments to the correct accounts.
Reconcile daily payment postings with insurer remittances and prepare daily deposit summaries.
Investigate discrepancies and prepare supporting documentation as needed.
Reporting and Administrative Support   Generate monthly reports on insurance claims, patient balances, and collections.
Provide detailed accounts-receivable aging reports, highlighting overdue balances and necessary follow-ups.
Assist with office administration tasks, including organizing documentation and preparing outgoing mail.
Qualifications  Required   Strong accuracy in transaction entry and recordkeeping.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills to engage professionally with patients and insurers.
Preferred   At least two years of experience in dental billing, insurance claims, or healthcare revenue-cycle management.
Familiarity with dental claims, explanations of benefits, and patient account administration.

Experience with dental practice management systems, particularly Dentrix.
Formal training in medical/dental office administration, bookkeeping, or accounting.
Employment Conditions  This position is primarily on-site. After a successful probation period, the clinic may consider 1–2 remote workdays per week depending on operational needs and performance.
Candidates must comply with clinic policies and professional-boundary requirements.
The role may require sitting for extended periods and handling office supplies.
