The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP) – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:
Sessional Instructor – Nutrition 120 (NUTR 120)

The SUNTEP Prince Albert program requires a Sessional Instructor for Nutrition 120. The class is an introduction to nutrition and health. The concepts of recommended nutrient intakes and dietary guidelines are introduced. The major nutrients and their functions in the body are outlined. Nutrition issues facing the general public are presented. The class is scheduled to be delivered at the Prince Albert GDI campus and is part of the SUNTEP Bachelor of Education program.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver course content that aligns with the course objectives.
- Engage students in interactive and practical learning experiences.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage active learning.
- Support students in their learning.
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have a relevant graduate degree and be approved by the University of Saskatchewan college of Pharmacy.
- An understanding of Gabriel Dumont Institute values and previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
- Class delivery is scheduled to start on May 19 and end June 16, 2026 (Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am – 12 pm).
- Hybrid or virtual delivery may be an option for the right candidate.
Remuneration: U of S Sessional Lecturer wage grid
