Culturally Focused Early Childhood Educator Position

Become an Early Childhood Educator with Metis Nation–Saskatchewan in Prince Albert, specializing in culturally responsive education. Promote Metis values while nurturing children’s growth.

This full-time educator role is dedicated to implementing play-based learning rooted in Metis culture. You will create an inclusive atmosphere where children thrive in all areas of development while respecting their unique identities. Collaboration with families and community partners enhances educational experiences, making this role impactful in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design play-based learning experiences in alignment with Metis culture

• Build strong ties with families and cultural community members

• Observe and document children's progress for curriculum planning

• Ensure safety and health standards in the learning environment

• Commit to professional learning and compliance with policies

Requirements:

• ECE Level I, II, or III certification required

• Background in Indigenous early childhood education preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of child development principles

• Willing to learn and incorporate Michif language and culture

• Criminal Record Check and valid Saskatchewan driver's license required
