Job Overview
The Invigilator will oversee test room security, administer test materials, and ensure exams run smoothly.
This is an in-person position that requires evening and weekend work.
- Exam Security
- Follow protocols for exam security and integrity and candidate check‑in as outlined in the manual and specialized exam guidelines.
- Confirm attendance, ensure correct exam papers/packages are received, distribute papers and instruct students on correct start and finish times.
- Administration
- Check out exams and other materials from the Test Centre or IELTS office and complete administrative tasks before the exam starts.
- Arrange rooms, tables and chairs according to the number of candidates, set seating charts and arrange specialized dividers as applicable.
- Computer Skills
- Scan and photograph IDs for specialized exams.
- Keyboard at a reasonable typing speed.
- Perform data entry in online booking systems such as Accommodate, Register Blast, and in Excel spreadsheets.
- Use Outlook for email and calendar management.
- Supervision
- Record start and end times of exams as they are turned in.
- Actively patrol the exam room to prevent cheating.
- Allow candidates only to leave after all exam materials have been collected and accounted for.
- Confidentiality
- Ensure confidential materials such as IDs remain secure.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral).
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
- Location:
Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert Campus, Technical Building. - Hours:
In-person, evening and weekend work. - Salary: $20.53 – $24.53 per hour.
- Start date:
24 August 2026. - Reduced hours during July and August.
