Position: Mental Health Instructor Position at SIIT

SIIT is recruiting for an Instructor in its Addictions, Community, & Mental Health Professional program. As an educational leader, you will prepare lesson plans, utilize modern technology, and engage students with both contemporary and Indigenous learning methods. Your passion for helping students learn will be pivotal in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design effective lesson plans for each course

• Leverage technology for innovative instruction

• Ensure completion of attendance and course evaluations

• Assess and track student progress within set timelines

• Uphold classroom discipline and recommend necessary measures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or similar

• Familiarity with adult learning principles a plus

• Prior teaching experience is preferred

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and teaching methods is valuable

• Dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive classroom
