Permanent Part‑Time Library Technician II

Location:

Westview Public School, Prince Albert.

Schedule:

3.25 hours per day, 16.25 hours per week.

Start date:

August 28, 2026, or as mutually agreed.

Salary:
Year 1 $ 27.03 per hour;
Year 2 $ 28.39 per hour;
Year 3 $ 29.81 per hour (based on CUPE Local 4195 Collective Agreement).

Provide library services to support student learning and school operations, maintain automated library systems, and assist with library collection management.

• Operate and maintain automated library systems.
• Assist students and staff with library resources and research.
• Support collection development and organization.
• Provide citation instruction and produce MARC coded bibliographic records.

• Successful completion of Grade 12.
• Post‑secondary Library Technician diploma or certificate from a recognised institution approved by the Board of Education.
• Familiarity with Insignia Software.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Working knowledge of an automated library system.
• Ability to code according to MARC standard.

Part‑time, permanent, under CUPE Local 4195 Collective Agreement. If the position is under‑filled, it will be classified as a Library Clerk.
