The Ministry of Community Safety offers a permanent part-time nurse position at Pine Grove Correctional Centre.

• Provide direct nursing care to female patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Promote preventative health measures.
• Respond to medical/psychiatric emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Assess medical and mental conditions and make referrals.
• Advocate for patients, act with honesty, reliability, dignity, and respect.
• Exhibit leadership, professionalism, diversity, equality, and accountability.

• Active registration or eligibility with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRPNS) or The College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
• Knowledge of medical and psychiatric theories and intervention strategies.
• Knowledge of drug/alcohol withdrawal indicators, communicable diseases in correctional populations, public health issues and risk factors.
• Understanding of multicultural beliefs, values, and perspectives.

Day, evening, week, and/or weekend shifts; 12‑hour and 8‑hour shifts as required.

SGEU Regulated 37.33 hours – one day off every three weeks.
