Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

In collaboration with the Primary Health Care clinic team, the nurse practitioner will provide primary health care services to clients of the Co-operative Health Centre in Prince Albert.

• Health promotion and protection
• Disease and injury prevention
• Provision of supportive, instructive, treatment, and urgent care services
• Collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals
• Conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects
• Leads or collaborates with other health‑care team members, other sectors, and/or the community in initiatives that promote health and reduce the risk of complications, illness, and injury for their individual clients, client groups, and/or the population as a whole

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized Nursing Education Program
• Current registration or eligible for registration with the SRNA as an RN (NP)
• 2–3 years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner is an asset
