Nurse Practitioner

Job Description
In collaboration with the Primary Health Care clinic team, the nurse practitioner will provide primary health care services to clients of the Co-operative Health Centre in Prince Albert.

Health promotion and protection

Disease and injury prevention

Provision of supportive, instructive, treatment, and urgent care services

Collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals

Conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects

Leads or collaborates with other health‑care team members, other sectors, and/or the community in initiatives that promote health and reduce the risk of complications, illness, and injury for their individual clients, client groups, and/or the population as a whole

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized Nursing Education Program

Current registration or eligible for registration with the SRNA as an RN (NP)

2–3 years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner is an asset
