Correctional Officer

Position: Permanent Full-Time Correctional Officer
Become a Permanent Full-Time Correctional Officer with the Government of Saskatchewan at Pine Grove Correctional Centre in Prince Albert. Support offender rehabilitation while ensuring safety and security in a vital community role.

The Ministry of Community Safety seeks motivated professionals for this critical job. You'll undergo an 11-week paid induction training program, developing skills in supervision, risk assessment, and effective communication. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise offenders and maintain security

• Support rehabilitation and reintegration programs

• Facilitate inmate programming and education

• Assess risk and respond to incidents effectively

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for positive outcomes

Requirements:

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence

• Certification in First Aid and CPR/AED

• Education in social sciences or law enforcement

• Knowledge of Canadian criminal justice system

• Satisfactory medical evaluation required
