Part-Time Correctional Officer

Become a key player in community safety as a Permanent Part-Time Correctional Officer at Prince Albert Correctional Centre, Government of Saskatchewan. Engage in offender rehabilitation while ensuring a secure environment.

The Ministry of Community Safety is hiring dedicated individuals for this role. Successful candidates will embark on a paid 11-week Induction Training Program. Ideal candidates are adaptable, accountable, and possess integrity to manage complex situations in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise offenders to maintain facility security

• Support case planning and reintegration activities

• Facilitate offender programming for rehabilitation

• Assess risk and respond effectively to incidents

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safety outcomes

Requirements:

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence

• First Aid and CPR/AED certification required

• Education in social sciences or law enforcement

• Understanding of Canadian criminal justice and human behavior

• Satisfactory medical evaluation necessary
