Join the Ministry of Community Safety as a Permanent Part-Time Correctional Officer at Prince Albert Correctional Centre. Focus on offender rehabilitation and the security of correctional facilities.
The Government of Saskatchewan is searching for dedicated professionals committed to public service excellence. Candidates will complete an 11-week paid Induction Training Program to equip them for effective teamwork and offender management. A deep understanding of human behavior and risk assessment is vital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise offenders and maintain security standards
• Facilitate rehabilitation and case planning activities
• Assess risks and respond to incidents effectively
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure public safety
• Promote positive change in offender outcomes
Requirements:
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence needed
• First Aid and CPR/AED certification required
• Relevant education in social sciences or law enforcement
• Understanding of legislation and criminal justice system
• Medical evaluation must be successfully completed
