Part-Time Facility Youth Worker Position

Become a part-time Facility Youth Worker with the Government of Saskatchewan at the Prince Albert Youth Residence. Support youth offenders in their rehabilitation journey while ensuring a safe environment.

The Ministry of Community Safety is seeking committed individuals for this permanent part-time role. Successful candidates will promote accountability and positive change among youth aged 12 to 17. Ideal candidates excel in communication, teamwork, and decision-making, while working with diverse youth populations affected by trauma and special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and security of youth offenders

• Provide assessment and counselling to support youth

• Deliver case management and rehabilitation program services

• Evaluate risk and respond to incidents appropriately

• Collaborate as part of a dedicated team

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the Canadian criminal justice system

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence

• First Aid and CPR/AED certification

• Degree in social sciences or relevant experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Engage in meaningful work supporting youth rehabilitation and development in a secure setting.
