Part-Time Hourly (guaranteed 20 hours per week, as best suits program needs)

Youth Homes Supervisor/Manager

Position Summary

The Youth Support Worker empowers youth to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become successful, independent adults. Through mentorship, life skills development, advocacy, and individualized support, this role helps youth make positive choices that promote self-sufficiency while meeting program requirements.

Qualifications
  • Human services experience and/or relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience working with diverse and Indigenous populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgement, and uphold professional boundaries in accordance with the YWCA Code of Conduct & Ethics Agreement.
  • Successful completion of Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License required.
Responsibilities
  • Support youth in developing life skills, independence, and personal responsibility.
  • Provide mentorship, advocacy, guidance, and crisis support.
  • Assist youth with employment readiness, job searches, resumes, and interview preparation.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming home environment.
  • Prepare meals, support household routines, and ensure cleaning duties are completed.
  • Plan educational and recreational activities for youth.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, documentation, and incident reports.
  • Provide feedback to the Manager regarding client needs and concerns.
  • Attend meetings, complete administrative duties and respond to crises as required.
  • Maintain confientiality.
