Job Type: Part-Time Hourly (guaranteed 20 hours/week as best suits the program)

Reports to:

Youth Homes Supervisor/Manager

Responsibilities:
Work closely with youth aged 1115 in a transitional home, empowering clientele to make positive choices toward self-sufficiency while ensuring contract obligations are met.

Qualifications
  • Good role model who demonstrates a healthy lifestyle.
  • Human Services experience, particularly with youth.
  • Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers Licence required.
  • Experience with mental health challenges and/or cognitive disabilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture.
  • Maintain professional boundaries as outlined in the YWCA Code of Conduct and Ethics Agreement.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must pass YWCA Security Clearance, Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Caring and compassionate attitude.

Remuneration: $23.54/hour

Duties
  • Support youth with career goals, job readiness, job searches, resumes, and interviews.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean home environment.
  • Prepare and cook for 10+ youth.
  • Support and guide residents toward responsibility and independence.
  • Provide support, advocacy, and feedback to the Manager regarding clients and incidents.
  • Respond to crises during non-office hours and contact the Manager for major crises.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Probation:
All YWCA Prince Albert positions contain a three-month probationary period.
