The Crisis Intervention Worker provides support, information, and crisis assistance to women and children staying at the Shelter. This position helps maintain a safe, respectful, clean, and supportive environment and assists clients with safety planning, referrals, resources, and daily needs.
The Crisis Intervention Worker must be able to work independently and as part of a team, maintain professional boundaries, complete required documentation, and respond calmly and professionally in crisis situations.
Qualifications- Minimum one-year certificate in a human services field or three years of related experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Respectful and non-judgmental approach when working with clients.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Safe Food Handling certification.
- Valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence.
- Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Experience working with family violence, trauma, mental health, addictions, child development, life skills, or cultural diversity is considered an asset.
