Railroad Conductor - Safety First

Become a vital part of the rail industry as a Conductor, ensuring safety and smooth train operations. This role involves track switching, equipment inspection, and effective communication with the train crew.
In this hands-on position, you will oversee the train and freight operations, coupling and uncoupling cars while adhering to the Federal Railroad Association guidelines. Your responsibilities will include moving trains safely, coordinating switch lists, and maintaining situational awareness to ensure safety. Excellent judgment and effective communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with railroad regulations and safety

• Move trains accurately in yards and over tracks

• Operate track switches and inspect railcar equipment

• Train and assist crew in necessary procedures

• Prepare daily reports and forms accurately
Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Aptitude and willingness to learn in transportation

• FRA Conductor Certification (post-hire)

• Basic Microsoft Office skills needed

• Pass operational examination tests
