Job Duties:

• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment and trucks as required
• Move material onto and off moving trucks or vans
• Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking
• Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks of warehouses and industrial establishments
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo if required
• Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses
• May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.

Job Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to complete local deliveries as needed.
• Strong attention to detail when picking orders, checking product, and handling paperwork.
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willingness to follow safe work practices and use equipment properly.
• Experience with forklifts or warehouse equipment is an asset, but training may be provided.
• Secondary school education preferred.
