Position Summary

Are you an experienced accounting professional with strong bookkeeping expertise and a knack for organization and team support? As an Accounting Manager at IDL, you will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day accounting functions and helping ensure the smooth operation of the finance team.

Reporting to the Controller, this role is hands‑on and requires someone comfortable with full‑cycle accounting, while also assisting in coordinating activities across Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Job Cost. You’ll act as a key support to the Controller and a go‑to resource for the team, helping maintain accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across processes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee full‑cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, job cost and commitment tracking, payroll, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance, support, and review of work completed by junior team members.
  • Help identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency within the accounting function.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational and financial processes.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of full‑cycle accounting.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple accounting functions (AP, AR, reporting, etc.).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail‑oriented with a proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA designation is considered an asset but not required.
