As part of the Accounting team, your responsibilities will span the complete payroll cycle, including benefits and union administration. With a minimum of 5 years of experience, you will ensure compliance with payroll legislation and manage sensitive employee inquiries with discretion and speed. Your detail-oriented mindset will guarantee accurate and timely payments for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll bi-weekly and semi-monthly for all employees
• Administer extended health, dental, and vision benefits
• Prepare comprehensive payroll reports and reconcile dues
• Maintain accurate payroll records and submit year-end reports
• Address all employee payroll inquiries confidentially
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, ideally unionized
• Familiarity with Canadian payroll laws and union agreements
• Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association preferred
• Advanced skills in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
• High accuracy and strong communication skills
